Annual Yom Kippur Food Drive
Please join us in assisting those who live the fast of Yom Kippur every day of their lives by depositing non–perishable food items in the specially–marked containers located in the foyer of the Sanctuary Building.

Please join the Rabbi for the screening of various provocative films between November and March on the first Saturday evening of the month. The Rabbi will facilitate a discussion following the film.

There will be no charge for the any of the films.

These films are not appropriate for children under the age of 16 years old.

Join Isaac Levy in this six-part series and explore what the RaMBaM, doctor to the Grand Vizier of Egypt says about diet and lifestyle. We will also explore a modern treatment on the wisdom of RaMBaM in the book The Life-Transforming Diet, by David Zulberg.
 
Hebrew Reading 101

A Crash Course in reading Hebrew in five 1¼ hour classes! Specially designed for adult learners and lead by Dr. Joel Falk, this course will have you reading Hebrew before you can say: l’hitra’ot…No charge to TBS-EV members, but you must RSVP to the office and be prepared to attend all five sessions (comes with homework each week and an iron clad 100% money-back guarantee!).
 
Make Your Own Tallit
7:00-8:30 PM
Wednesdays, January 13th, 27th and February 10th
Design and create your very own tallit. Learn about the history, ritual, customs and symbolism involved with making and wearing tallitot. Each participant will be expected to cover their own material expenses, but there is no charge for this program.
 
Bringing Home Shabbat
Friday, February 19th
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Please plan to join us as we celebrate Shabbat at the homes of various TBS-EV member families.

All meals adhere to the TBS-EV kosher guidelines.

Please contact the office to register as a guest or as a host (you can arrange to borrow a TBS-EV Kosher Kit containing everything you'll need to cook up a kosher storm in your own home regardless of whether you keep a kosher house or not!).

Bringing Shabbat Home is a wonderful way to relax, enjoy a delicious Shabbat meal and get to know new friends.

This course is for learners who recognize the written letters and sounds of the Hebrew alphabet. A natural follow-up to the Rabbi’s Crash Course in Hebrew Reading Program.
