SHABBAT LEARNING SESSIONS: Rabbi Rone will be leading a discussion on Shabbat, December 4, 11, 18, following Kiddush on the Wisdom Sayings of our Ancestors (Pirkei Avot). The session will last approximately 45 minutes.
TBS-EV ANNUAL FAMILY CHANUKAH PARTY: Please join us Saturday evening, December 4th at 6:13pm as we fulfill the mitzvah of lighting the Chanukah candles! Bring your chanukiyot! Immediately following Havdalah, we will light as many chanukiyot as we have! Enjoy a sweet evening with friends, family, kids’ activities, family entertainment and sufganiyot. Desserts will be served and a cash bar will be available for your enjoyment. All are welcome. Please bring your friends! Admission to the event is a non-perishable food item which will be donated to families at Pioneer Preparatory School in Phoenix.
RS FAMILY HAVDALAH PROGRAM: All RS Parents are invited to a RS Family Program on Sunday, December 5th at 9am in the Community Room. We will have a nosh and learn about Havdalah with the students joining us at 10am to create family keep-sake Havdalah Sets. We are preparing for our 1st ever RS Havdalah, S'mores and a Movie on Saturday, January 1st!
KADIMA/NITZANIM CHANUKAH PARTY: All 1st through 7th Graders welcome to join us for our youth groups Chanukah Party on Sunday, December 5th from 12:30pm - 1:30pm. JEWELRY SALE: Just in time for the holidays, Dawn Waldman from DW Finders will be selling jewelry from around the world. Jewelry will be for sale from 10 am- 12:30pm on Sunday, December 5 and Sunday, December 12. On a budget? No worries, jewelry prices starting at $5.00. 10% of gross sales will be donated to the temple.
RELIGIOUS SCHOOL LED SHABBAT SERVICES & DINNER: Please join us Friday, December 17th as the Religious School leads services. All are welcome to join us for dinner sponsored by the 5th and 6th grades. Cost is $25 a family of four or $10 an adult and $5 a child. RSVP and payment due by Wednesday, December 15th.
CANNED FOOD DRIVE: From now through December 12th, all non-perishable food items will benefit students from Pioneer Preparatory School in Phoenix to ensure students eat during winter break. CANS CAN PROJECT: Please continue to save your aluminum cans. Your donations help purchase goats for families in Rwanda, solar cookers for refugees in Darfur and work tools have been purchased for Jewish men in Ethiopia to help them obtain day jobs. Cans may be left in the Administration Building.
